About Turku Open

The Turku Open is already being organized for the third time as a top-level competition in the heart of Turku, one of Finland’s disc golf capitals. For the past two years, the competition has been one of the stops on the European Pro Tour. Towards the end of 2023, with the Disc Golf Pro Tour acquiring the European circuit, Turku Open will also be part of the revamped tour and the DGPT's arrival in Europe. Turku Open, classified as an elite competition, will thus open a completely new chapter from both Finnish and Turku disc golf perspectives!

The competition takes place at the Luolavuori disc golf course, located near the center of Turku, which offers fantastic and aesthetic settings with its rolling meadows and small forested areas, making it ideal for a large-scale competition. From a spectator's point of view, the course is excellent in terms of visibility, allowing spectators to follow the game on multiple fairways simultaneously from many vantage points. The location of the course is superb for both spectators and players, as it is only a couple of kilometers away from the vibrant heart of Turku's city center.
